Japanese artist, born in Tokyo and living in New York City. She studied at Chelsea College of Art in London, among other places. At the beginning of her career she was a model and a designer. Mori includes in her installations video, photography, performance, fashion, high technology and intimate drawings inspired on both eastern and western art and religion, using herself as a model sometimes. Her work combine the spiritual and science. She received an award for young artists at the Venice Biennale in 1997.
