Self-taught in art. 1934: Family moved to Turin. 1956: Started to paint seriously. 1960: First one-person exhibition, Galleria Galatea, Turin. 1962: Started work on "mirror paintings" - silhouetted figures on steel sheets, placed so they reflected the image of the spectator. 1964: Started to make sculptures.
