American artist who took Oriental Studies at the University of Pennsylvania, Western Languages and Cultures at Columbia University in New York (1990) and Painting and Drawing at the Chicago Institute School of Art. His first one-man show was held at the Peter Miller Gallery, in 1992. Thereafter, he has had many exhibitions in the United States, Paris and London. His work has also been shown regularly in collective exhibitions in various cities around the world. He has received prizes and scholarships from several institutions like the Pahlavi Foundation (1978), Columbia University (1978), Chicago Institute School of the Art (1991-93), the Pollock-Krasner Foundation (1997) and the New York Foundation for the Arts (1999).
