Biography

Portuquese artist born in Oporto, lives in Estoril , near Lisbon. Studied at the Fine Art School of Paris (Architecture) and Vincennes School (Urbanism), in France. In the 70’s his painting is minimalist. Later his investigation about colour, the relation between form and background and the construction of geometrical forms is influenced by the movement support-surface. In the 80’s Vieira paints a series of monochromatic canvas, with horizontal and vertical alignments.
