Biography
German artist born in Wilhelmshafen, Germany.Studied at the Hochschule der Künste, Berlin Considered as member of the “Junge Wilde”, together with Baselitz, Immendorf and Lüpertz. In his work since 1982 Fetting increasingly has concerned himself with the depiction of the modern human condition. His view of the vulnerability of the individual in the face of an unintelligable and frequently hostile world puts Fetting in a tradition that stretches back, through Kirchner, Nolde and Munch.
