Biography
German painter, born in Lübeck. Studied at the Kunstakademie in Berlin from 1956 to 1959. His first personal exhibition took place in 1964. In the same year, he participated in the exhibition "Mythologies quotidiennes" at the Musée d'art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, which gathered the representatives of the Figurative Narrative Art. Since 1974 the human beings have disappeared from his pictures and he starts to show the enclosure of urban "nature". The Musée de Beaux Arts, Carcassone, presented his retrospective in 1987. He has lived in Paris since 1959.
