Biography
Born in Marblehead, Massachussets, USA, lives in New York. inspired by photo media from the late 60’s and early 70’s my paintings combine the scale and visual style of Pop art with a centuries old tradition of oil painting developed for realizing the beauty of human flesh. According to the artist, his objective is not to recreate the photographic experience but rather to maximize oil paintings unique ability to assert its visual and physical sensuality in relation to human form. His paintings comment on the political and social nature of America where consumerist excess drives most media related imageru and where capitalism is at its most decadent.
