Biografia
Pintor inglês nascido em Sheffield, Yorkshire. De 1948-52 estudou no Royal College of Art. 1952-53 estudou e expôs em Itália. 1956 representou a Grã-Bretanha na XXVIII Bienal de Veneza. 1957 Vencedor do Prémio John Moore. Em 1956 participou na exposição de John Berger Looking Forward na the Whitechapel South London Art Gallery. Em 1958 primeira exposição individual, de muitas, na Zwemmer Gallery 1960 seleccionado para uma exposição no Museu Guggenheim; 1963 participou em British Painting in the 60's exhibition at the Whitechapel Art Gallery; 1964 exposição Carnegie International, Pittsburgh; 1969 e 71 exposição individual no Institute of Contemporary Art; 1973 retrospectiva em the Whitechapel Art Gallery: 1977 participou em British Painting 1952-77 na Royal Academy; 1983 Greaves foi responsável do Departamento de Gravura no Norwich College of Art; 1984 The forgotten Fifties, Graves Art Gallery, Sheffield; 1988 participou em Exhibition Road at the Royal College of Art.
