Biography
English artist who has particularly focused on photography. He studied sculpture at St Martin's School of Art in London (1964-67) but began working with photography when he acknowledged that his initial three-dimensional projects were better known in the form of illustrations than as physical objects. As from the mid-70s, Hilliard began dealing with the major themes of his work, especially those concerning age, race and sex.
