Biography
Georgian artist born in Kukhi. He took his first drawing classes at the Paevsky and V. Krotkov Schools in Kutaisi. Between 1910 and 1915 attended Dmitriev Kavkazski's studio and studied at the St Petersburg University. From 1918 to 1927 lived in Paris, where he was influenced by the work of Picasso. Kacabadzé wrote and published numerous essays about contemporary art and he exhibited regularly at the Salon des Indépendants. Between 1918 and 1930 he produced some stage designs for the theatre and he was artistic adviser at the Arts Academy in Tbilisi, untill 1948.
