Biography
The Italian painter, sculptor, commercial designer and draughtsman, Paladino attended the Liceo Artistico di Benevento between 1964 and 1968. At the beginning of the 70s, he became especially interested in design and, in 1976, held his first one-man shows at the D'Arte Duemila Gallery, in Bologna, and the Nuovi Strumenti Gallery, in Brescia. In 1977, he moved to Milan and mainly painted monochromatic paintings in blue, red or yellow, generally incorporating objects. In 1980, he was associated with the Italian movement, Transvanguardia, together with Clemente, Chia and Cucchi. He developed an allegorical, figurative style based on Christian imagery and classical mythological. His technical versatility extends to diverse types of printing: engraving, etching and aquatint.
