Biography
Was born in Angola. He attended the artistic training course at the National Society of Fine arts and at the Fine Arts School of Lisbon. He was a member of the Group Homeostético which promoted various exhibitions and collective actions. His work is characterized by irony and by historical and mythological references, allegorical figures, ornamental images and inscriptions written in different languages. Pedro Proença participated in the Venice Biennal, Aperto 88.
