Biography
Born in Lisbon. He attended the School of Fine Arts of Lisbon. Since 1952 collaborated in architectural works with tiles, mosaics and tapestries. He realized the tiles for the Subway Station “Laranjeiras”, in Lisbon. Sá Nogueira designed sceneries and costunes for theatre and illustrated various books. He has also done engravings. He won a Gulbenkian Foundation fellowship and went to France, Holland and Great Britain, where he worked at the Slade School in 1958 and between 1962-64. Prizes: 1961 Silva Porto, 1972 Menção honrosa Prémio da Crítica. Collective exhibitions abroad (selection) 1953 S.
