Biografia
Artista americano nascido em Yonkers, Nova Iorque. Estudou primeiro em Atlanta, em seguida na Columbia University, Nova Iorque, e por fim, na Brooklyn Museum School of Art. Durante os primeiros anos os seus trabalhos eram influenciados pelo expressionismo abstracto, mas a partir de 1963 acompanhou o movimento pop. Os temas predominantes na sua obra são desporto, rock, e porno. Existem referências aos Rolling Stones, aos Beatles, aos Supremes, a James Brown, Dionne Warwick, The Shirelles e a vedetas do futebol americano.
